We had a great afternoon putting together a worm-farm we won at a raffle and gave to the Essential Deli. Lets see how the worms are coping with the amount of food waste.
Coffee grinds for gardeners

Is there anyone else that want to use this nutrition rich food for their garden. We are looking for more people that can pick up once a week from our local cafes in the village.

Battery recycling in Mt Eden Village:

Used batteries leach poisonous metals and acids into the environment and therefore should be recycled. We offer two recycling stations in Mt Eden village, one at MBE copy shop and the other at Civic Video. We collect them once a month and drop off to Sony who recycle the metals they can use and the rest of the batteries are contained in a drum so that further leaching is minimal when in landfill.
