Mt Eden Community Garden: Gardening every Sunday 2-4pm

The garden is looking lush and green with all the new spring growth. The broad beans are fat and juicy and the crunchy silverbeet and spinach is the best! We will have plenty of strawberries this year!

This past month we have been busy with spring planting and getting compost and horse manure into the soil. We have built another planter box out of recycled pallets and a smaller box for raspberry cuttings. The compost system continues to work well (we can dig it back into the soil in 4 weeks), so bring along your kitchen waste and place in black bin #1 any time and the worms will assist in converting it into usable matter for us!
