Community Planting Day on Maungawhau-Mt Eden

The Friends of Maungawhau are organising a community planting day on Sunday 15 July, from 10 am to 1 pm.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn about the maunga, and help replace the weeds on the lower southern slope with natives seedlings.

Meet at 10:00 am at the end of Batger Road.
Please wear sturdy shoes and suitable clothing, and bring gardening gloves and a small spade or trowel if you can. Gloves and tools will be provided if you don’t have any.
Plus refreshments including a traditional “boil the billy” celebration of a successful planting season and World Ranger Day at the end of July.

Please let the Friends know if you’re coming: Contact Kit Howden: 630 1490  or 027 667 1059
