We are sure you are all aware there are now only a few days left to provide your comments on Auckland Unleashed – the Auckland (spatial) plan discussion document
The Auckland Plan is hugely important for setting the vision and strategy of our city for the next 30 years.
If you want an Eco-city, meaningful greenhouse gas emission reduction targets, compact urban design, community gardens & urban food production, waste minimisation, protection of the environment, investment in walking and cycling, the inner city rail link.. Basically everything you believe that is necessary to make Auckland a liveable city with a sustainable, vibrant and resilient future THEN it is essential to have your say
Here is the current draft of the Grey Lynn 2030 submission
Please use what ever bits you wish to highlight to make a submission (as we have done with gratitude from the EDS, Greens, ADCOSS, MEVP and Eco Matters submissions )
Comments can be emailed to email@example.com (more details below for having your say) no later than 4pm on Tuesday 31 May
The numbers absolutely count if we want to influence the focus of the draft Auckland Plan that will come out for formal consultation in August so, if you haven’t already, please submit and let your networks know.

What a feast we had in the village on Sunday afternoon. Thank you to Mt Eden Maungawhau Village Centre Society for organising this wonderful event in our community. Around 100 people attended this delicious lunch prepared by master chef Ray McVinnie with brilliant entertainment by Elizabeth McRae. Money raised went toward the village centre to buy plates and cutlery for the centre kitchen and an additional $350.00 was raised to support Christchurch.
This event was kindly supported by some of our local shops. Thank you to Eden Foods, KC Loo Fruiterer, Mt Eden Traditional Butcher and Wild Wheat Bakery. A big thank you also goes to the Essential Cuisine, Regal Salmon, Sabato, Village Press Olive Oil, Wine by “The People’s Wine”.
